Position: Teacher's Assistant
Teacher Assistants needed for private Special Education School in Peoria. High school diploma required. Experience preferred but not required. Part-Time 8am-3pm Monday through Friday.
Teacher Assistants work in the classroom by providing direct instruction to students, prepare study materials and instructional aides as directed, and establishing high standards and expectations for all students.
You are also expected to work as a team with other assigned staff members, serve as a role model, and set a positive example to students, parents and district personnel.
The goal for every student at THE ACES is to increase the student's academic level to the point that he will be able to succeed in public school, eliminate inappropriate behaviors and replace them with behaviors that are acceptable in a classroom environment, and return the student to public school as quickly as possible.
JOB STATUS: Part Time
PAY RATE: from $9.50/hour
